Hey Friends, it’s been a hot minute since I last wrote a Thankful Thursday post. I don’t know if I’ll be writing them every week, but they are definitely fun to write. Especially at this time of year when I’m feeling more thankful and ready for the holiday season!
What I’m thankful for this week:
- Homemade dinners! I’ve really struggled to consistently cook since I’ve been pregnant, thankfully Griff has been a huge help and we both work together to make dinner. It feels so good to be in the kitchen more, and to have dinner every night!
- Being Thankful. My sister and I have started texting each other every night before we go to bed one thing that we’re grateful for from during the day. I feel like I’m always such a negative Nancy and this has really helped me focus on the good things in my day!
- Glow in the dark balls for Persephone. Now that it’s dark by the time I get home at 5:30, we’re still able to play fetch with the pup (even though we can barely see her) at least the ball is glowing!
- The Holiday Season! We just got our food assignments for Thanksgiving next week, and I’m so excited to spend time with family. We’ll be hanging out with Griffin’s family for Thanksgiving and mine for Christmas. I love this time of year!
In some ways I feel like there isn’t a whole lot happening, at least not currently. Last week Griffin had a job interview out of state (but we won’t hear back about it until after Thanksgiving.) And we’re slowly but surely getting all prepped for Baby V. Some days I am really excited about having a baby, and other times I’m scared to death about being a mom. But, ready or not, she’ll be here before we know it!
I’m also still working on my novel for NaNoWriMo. I missed writing a few days last week and so I’m behind on my word count but fighting to catch up. I also realized that I don’t write in order. Like at all. Which is going to make editing a good time, but hey, I’m getting this dang book written! (As of today I’m about 5,000 words behind where I should be, but I’m writing extra everyday. I will get there!)
So, that’s basically everything I can think of right now. What are you thankful for this week?
